6.1.4. Check of the valve of a temperature regulator


The temperature regulator valve (see fig. The air filter) operates a zaslonka. At the faulty valve there can be interruptions in operation of the engine idling in a warming up mode, interruption at increase in frequency of rotation, the engine develops insufficient capacity, fuel consumption increases. The valve check on the cold engine. Zaslonka should turn easily, without jammings. On the warm engine depending on ambient temperature access of warm air should be blocked partially or completely.

1. To remove the filter, without disconnecting hoses (5) and (17).
2. To start the engine and to leave to idle.
3. To disconnect a hose from the valve. Zaslonka should block supply of warm air.
4. To put on the valve a hose. Zaslonka should open access to warm air.
5. To disconnect a hose. Zaslonka should turn and block access to warm air. If it does not occur, the valve means is faulty.
